Pastor David Beatty Jr, Lead Pastor
David & Jaye Beatty were married in 2003. God has given them two wonderful children: Davey and Emily. Calvary voted him to be the Interim Pastor in 2013 and was voted in as Senior Pastor August 2014.
David Jr. has a desire to see Calvary fulfill the Great Commission through reaching, equipping, and inspiring Christians to be more effective witnesses for Christ.
David graduated from Calvary Baptist Academy in 1996, received his Bachelor of Arts from Pensacola Christian College in 2001, and his Masters in Business Administration from Liberty University in 2005.
Robert Lanning, Associate Pastor
Robert Lanning accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior in April 1984. Later that Summer, God called Robert to serve -- and Robert has served in various Associate Pastor roles over the past 30+ years. Today, Robert serves as our Associate Pastor responsible for leading our Corporate Worship Team of musicians and vocalists. Robert graduated from ABeka Correspondence School (home school) in 1988 and has a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio. He has also completed Graduate programs with Sioux Falls Seminary and is finishing a Master's program from Western Governor's University.
Robert and his wife Becky just celebrated their 25th year of marriage. They have three children: Timothy, Sarah, and Lauren.
Stephen Funes, High School Administrator
Stephen and Emily Funes were married in 2013. Emily was born and raised in Coldspring, TX. Stephen was born in California, but was raised all over the U.S. and also in Germany as his dad was in the Air Force.
In April 2015, God called Stephen to come in as high-school administrator of Calvary Baptist Academy. Stephen is thrilled that God has enabled Him and chosen to put him into the ministry. He sees the school as an incredible opportunity to educate children, instill godly character into them, and teach them many invaluable life lessons all in the spirit of excellence.
Stephen attended Calvary Baptist Academy in 8th and 9th grade before moving to Houston with his family. In 2007, Stephen graduated from Pensacola Christian College with a Bachelors degree in Management/Marketing. He then went on to get his Masters in Business Management in 2009 from Liberty University.
