David beatty, lead pastor
David Beatty is the Lead Pastor at Calvary and enjoys enabling and empowering christians to grow in every aspect of their Christian life. His wife, Jaye, leads the churches ladies ministries.
In addition to his leadership role in the church, he has extensive experience in creating and developing thriving organizations and empowering teams to accomplish their goals.
David graduated from Calvary Baptist Academy in 1996, received his Bachelor of Arts from Pensacola Christian College in 2001, and his Masters in Business Administration from Liberty University in 2005.
David lives in New Braunfels with his wife, Jaye, and their 2 children, Davey and Emily.
Ryan turner, executive pastor
Ryan Turner is the Executive Pastor and Worship Leader at Calvary and loves connecting and encouraging people to maximize their potential in service for Christ.
In addition to various leadership roles at previous secular jobs, and years of coaching in baseball, basketball, and football. Ryan has also lead worship in churches for over 10 years which brings a unique balance of business and ministry to our team.
Ryan has also toured the country with various singing groups and strives to bring people into a closer encounter with the Father through music.
Ryan lives in New Braunfels with his wife, Andrea, and their 3 children, Jaxson, Scarlett, and Libby Kate.
Stephen funes, school administrator
Stephen Funes is the School Administrator, Associate Pastor, and Children’s Ministry Director at Calvary and strives to use education as a platform for evangelism and discipleship.
For over 15 years, he has been extensively involved in a wide variety of church ministries, and has thoroughly enjoyed working with people in every stage of life.
After completing his Master’s degree in Business Management in 2009 from Liberty University, Stephen took a position as a university professor in Hainan, China. It was while in communist China, that God really opened his eyes as to how education could serve as a gateway to sharing Christ.
Stephen and his wife Emily live in the New Braunfels area with their two young children, Judah and Bonnie.
