How to Become a Member of Calvary
We believe God expects a Christian to be a faithful, active member of a biblically sound, and doctrinally pure church as soon after salvation and baptism or as soon after a move to a new community as possible.
Act 2:47 Praising God, and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.
Calvary Baptist Church is an independent Baptist church proclaiming the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ:
1Co 15:3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures; 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the Scriptures:
There is NO salvation resulting from our good works, but through faith in the finished work of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Gal 2:16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
We encourage all those who have put their trust in the Lord Jesus Christ to join with us in worshipping our risen Lord! It is our conviction that every believer should seek out a doctrinally sound church, join it, and find a place of ministry to help fulfill the Great Commission.
Membership in Calvary Baptist Church has two prerequisites: salvation and scriptural baptism. The Bible teaches that a person is saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ’s death on the cross. The first step of obedience after salvation is scriptural baptism by immersion.
There are three ways to join Calvary Baptist Church:
(A) By baptism (immersion) as a true believer in Christ Jesus as personal Savior;
(B) By letter of transfer from another Bible-believing church of like faith and practice, or other written statement of good standing from the prior church if the applicant has been baptized by immersion subsequent to a profession of faith;
(C) By testimony of faith, having been baptized by immersion; or
We want you to be a part of the loving family that the Lord has given us here at Calvary Baptist Church. If the Lord is leading you in this way, please schedule an interview with the Pastor or the person he designates.
During this meeting, we will:
Discuss and verify your salvation testimony
Discuss and verify your baptism
Review our doctrinal statement, church covenant, and membership expectations with you and learn from you how we can assist you in your spiritual growth
After the meeting you may come forward at the end of any regular church service to be voted in and introduced to the congregation.

One of the ministries here at Calvary Baptist is Calvary Baptist Academy. C.B.A. is a Christian school that has been in existence since August of 1981 training young Champions For Christ. We use the Abeka curriculum exclusively.
The Regular, Tithing Member discount will need to be applied for once each semester. A parent needs to be a regular participating member of CBC for a period of at least 90 days before they can apply for this discount.
