We have been on the field now for 6 1/2 years and counting. We spent our first year in San Jose, Cost Rica learning Spanish and then went to Mexico City. We have been here for well over five years now and the Lord has blessed us and your church with much fruit.
We have helped start 5 churches in the last four years. Two of the churches are pastored by missionaries at this time and three of the churches are pastored by Mexican pastors. Each church is going strong and growing, with the combined average attendance at about 345. We praise the Lord for His goodness and blessings. 3 1/2 years ago we took over the work of a missionary who fell into sin. He left a large debt on the property that we are currently trying to pay off. We still owe around $40,000 from the $90,000 original when we first took over the work.
A small group of people tried to force us out of Mexico by trying to discourage us into leaving. But God had other plans. Our church went through two church splits in two years, they wanted to sell the property and pocket the money (around $400,000 dollars). God in His mercy did not let that happen. After all was said and done God began to do a great thing in our church. We got all the papers in order and the church began to grow and is still growing. Since January of 2006 God has increased our church by almost 300%. We have been getting people saved, baptized and discipling them. We are about to knock every door in our area for the fifth time. Our people are almost all new converts and they are growing in grace. Everyone in our church is excited to see God's power and blessings in our church. All of this is happening because you have kept us here on the field through your prayers and faithful support! We love you and are looking forward to seeing you very soon! We do have one pressing prayer request. Please pray that we can quickly raise the remaining $40,000 on our property. If the Lord should put it in your hearts to help us we would be very grateful.
