My family and I have been on the field as missionaries since January 2002. We are independent, fundamental, local church Baptist missionaries, and are not associated with any board or fellowship of any kind. Our sending church is Grace Baptist Church in Marrero, LA, Pastor Craig Foote; (504-341-1131).
Originally we planned to go to Cuba as missionaries, and we took several trips there intending to move there permanently. In this year, through various political circumstances, we have concluded that God has other plans for us in the near future.
For one, we would never be able to live there full-time; secondly, we would not be able to take our children; and thirdly, we probably would be "on the field" for only 2 or 3 months per year.
After counseling with our pastor, we are planning to start a church here in Mexico where we have worked most of these last four years. We are currently praying about the capital city of Toluca about one hour west of Mexico City.
We plan to have this settled when we start our furlough in June 2006. As to our schooling, I graduated from Oklahoma Baptist College in Oklahoma City in 1997. My wife graduated from her home church's institute, Capital City Baptist Institute, in Austin, Texas in 2001. We were married in June of the same year and have 2 boys-Joseph, who will turn 4 in April, and Joshua, who is 2 ½.
