SPOTLIGHT ON OUR MISSIONARY
Fugi and Janet Rodriguez are members of Calvary Baptist Church and currently preparing to go to Mexico as missionaries. The call began at age 17 when Fugi became a Christian in Liberal, Kansas. They have served the Lord at Calvary for 15 years— Fugi as a Junior Boys Sunday School teacher, minister of hospitality, song leader, usher, and involved in many building projects. Janet is a nursery worker, sings in the choir, makes quilts for the bus children and they both can always be counted on to be at work days. They are both a very vital part of CBC. They have 4 grown children and 4 grandchildren. Youngest son, Josh is presently serving in Iraq.
They feel that God wants them to work with children in Mexico, legally adopting orphaned children, (although they don’t know how many God will bring to them), raising them in a Godly Christian home. Fugi has all his legal paperwork in order to live and travel in Mexico. They are working to get Janet’s paperwork finalized. Please be in prayer for them as they get ready to go to the field.
